PLEASE NOTE: LOGWOOD BIKE HAVEN CLOSED ITS DOORS FOR THE LAST TIME IN FEBRUARY 2008 AFTER TAKING MANY HIGH VELDT MTB RIDERS FROM RIDING DIRT ROADS TO AN ADDICTION TO TWISTY GROOMED SINGLE TRACK. THIS PAGE REMAINS BECAUSE SO MANY RIDERS ASKED US TO KEEP IT UP, A NOSTALGIA THING FOR SOUTH AFRICAS FIRST COMMERCIAL BIKE PARK.
SHOWTIME
Skill Level: Green 3

This is the first single track trail off to the left of The Main Drag after leaving the Clubhouse, and as such is one of the favourites with all skill level riders.

Out of the entrance gate you are launched into a heavily banked left-hand berm that moves into a series of twisty narrow climbing corners moving between the fruit trees of the old orchard.

Gradually climbing further still the first of the off camber humps is encountered, before turning at the Clubhouse and beginning the descent over the Big Hump (chicken run included hehehe) and it’s friend the Little Hump before rejoining the orchard for some fun and fast twisty bends that culminate in a nice little jump right next to a VERY BIG trench (maybe we should have called this one Kitchen Sink too, in fact maybe we should just call them all Kitchen Sink to avoid confusion and spelling errors).

A little more down hill trail with some berms (one of which has some loose gravel around) and you are returned to The Main Drag.

If you would like some tips on how to ride berms and humps and other trail features just go to the REGISTER button and grab a password. It’s free and then you will access menus that you cannot see now with text, pictures and video instruction.
