HORIZON MTB FUN RACE 2008

Joburg’s newest team relay fun race. Suitable for novice and pro.

Any amount of members between 2 and 5 per team.

Racing for 2. and a half hours around a 4km lap within the safe environment of Logwood Bike Haven.

Team to complete the most laps at the cut-off wins! Great family or corporate event.

Kiddies Race after main event. Supervision and entertainment for kids also provided.

Main Race – Team Relay:

Teams containing 2 to 5 members (unisex) – 13 years and older

4km lap – one rider per team at any given time.

Race: 08h00 to 10h30 – R200.00 per team

Kiddies Race – Individual:

6 to 12 years old

Race: 11h00 to 11h30 (Shorter lap)

R20.00 per rider

(Regret no training wheels allowed)

Kiddies Race: (per individual)

1^st rider: R200.00 shop voucher

General Event Info:

Main Race:

Round trip route within Logwood Bike Haven of approx 4km lap.

One rider per team on course at any time.

No Helmet No Ride.

Teams contains 2 to 5 members of any sex.

Team with most completed laps at 2.5 hour cut-off wins race.

13 years and older.

Kiddies Fun Race:

Round trip route within Logwood Bike Haven of approx 1km lap.

No Helmet No Ride.

Individual to complete most laps at 30minute cut-off wins race.

Age: 6 to 12 years.

Regret: NO TRAINING WHEELS ALLOWED

Directions to Logwood Village:

Take Beyers Naude towards Honeydew, past Garden World Nursery and 800m past Oakfield Farm, turn right at the Old Nooitgedacht road (Diepsloot sign) and travel approx. 1km down into a dip, turn left there, at the Sunfield Home/Logwood Ranch sign. Travel to the T-Junction, turn right and follow the sand road around bend to the left.  Approx. Half km further on your left, is Logwood Bike Haven.
